After bombs away, Bombay doors would not close so aircraft lagged behind formation. At 1225, aircraft was attached by 7 FW109 fighters. Most of crew in back was killed and engines were set ablaze. Remaining crew bailed out. Plane crashed and exploded near Hulste, Belgium. 4 KIA, 4 EVD, and one POW.
