At 1140 and with two engines feathered, aircraft left the formation under control, eventually jettisoning the BT Radio contact maintained until 1254 and received fighter escort until 1320. Last seen by a P-51 at flying at 500 feet near Munster, Germany. Crashed at St Vith, Belgium.
