This aircraft was used in the Aphrodite Project. It was stripped down, then loaded with 20,000 pounds of bombs. It was flown to the English coast where the pilot and A.F.C.E. specialist parachuted out then the plane was directed via radio controls to a German target where the plane would crash to detonate the explosives.
